Whom am I

I am Harkirat Singh Sangha. My contact and other details are set out at the end of this policy. I am an amateur ornithologist and I have self-published Waders of the Indian Subcontinent and intend to sell this book both directly to consumers and also to business customers (including retailers, professional bodies and entities, and educational institutions and organisations).

All your personal data processed by me is exclusively for the purpose of selling the book and is stored securely. Unfortunately, the transmission of information via the internet is not completely secure. Therefore, I cannot guarantee the security of your data transmitted to my website and any transmission is at your own risk. Once I have received your information, I will use appropriate procedures and security features to try to prevent unauthorised access.

The purpose for collecting personal data

Your individual contact and other information that you are providing are to enable me to fulfil any orders you make, or otherwise to communicate with you in relation to the supply of the book/ books. Information that you are giving may include apart from your name and contact information such as your email address, postal address or phone number and credit card, bank account or other financial details relevant to payments made by you and other information relating to you that is included in any communications between you and me.

Payment processing service providers (such as banks) in connection with purchases you make from me, my chartered accountant for the purpose of accounting and the Indian Postal Department or courier agencies for delivering the book.

Your personal data will be with me only for so long as it is necessary for the purpose(s) for which it was originally collected, after which it will be deleted or saved to the extent that it is necessary for me to continue to process it for the purpose of compliance with tax/ legal obligations.
